Hozier

As part of the Lightscape team, I animated Hozier's Unreal Unearth album cover to serve as a recurring motif and transition element in the live visuals across the American tour.

The original artwork (the striking, ethereal figure in a fiery landscape) was brought to life with subtle, atmospheric motion: gentle breathing/pulsing, flowing embers, shifting light, and evolving textures that tied directly into the album's themes of mythology, love, grief, and rebirth.

The animation was designed to be versatile—used as intro sequences, between-song transitions, background layers during key tracks (e.g., "Francesca," "Eat Your Young," "First Light"), and moments of stage drama. It reacted subtly to lighting cues and song dynamics, creating a cohesive visual thread that felt both organic and cinematic on large LED screens and stage projections.
