Genre/Style: High-Energy / Psychedelic / Disorienting Visuals for chaotic, party-anthem track
I edited the official music video for King Kong Company's "Donkey Jaw"—a full-on, bouncy banger that's equal parts public service announcement and hedonistic call-to-arms.
The track is a spoken-word rant over pounding beats, celebrating (and cautioning about) over-indulgence in "social lubricants" (Buckfast, MDMA, mushrooms)—a colorful, irreverent commentary on pleasure-seeking and excess, delivered with the band's signature bastardised glory and festival-ready energy.
The video is a mind-bending ride: fast cuts, equilibrium-shaking effects, chaotic imagery, and raw, in-your-face visuals that sync perfectly to the song's relentless groove and lyrics ("nothin off of that," "head on ya").
My editing shaped the footage into a disorienting, immersive experience—tight pacing to build frenzy, rhythmic transitions, and visual overload that amplifies the track's euphoric yet cautionary tone, making it feel like a psychedelic party gone gloriously wrong.
This project aligns with my work on high-impact, personality-driven videos (e.g., Gold Blooded Woman's cheeky concepts, AKKAN's psychedelic trips, BARQ's soulful energy), and captures King Kong Company's live-wire spirit (known for epic gigs at Electric Picnic, festivals, and their "hedonists choice" ethos).
Highlights & Press: Praised as "a full-on, energetic, bouncy, banger" (Hot Press) and "barnstormer" (The Thin Air); visuals called "class" and Prodigy-esque (JOE.ie).
